BASF to increase prices in the United States and Canada

Posted in Latest News on July 10, 2008

Effective August 1, 2008, or as contracts allow, BASF will increase its prices by up to US $0.20 per dry pound in the United States and Canada for all Butofan medium solids styrene-butadiene latex products and for Styrofan and Styronal styrene-butadiene latex products used in the adhesives, architectural coatings, sealants, construction, paper and nonwovens markets.

This action is necessary as a result of unprecedented increases in raw materials, in particular styrene and butadiene, coupled with freight related fuel surcharges and manufacturing energy requirements that impact BASF’s business.

Butofan, Styrofan and Styronal are registered trademarks of BASF SE.
