Bluestar Silicones announces price increases

Effective November 1, 2007 for all customers and starting January 1, 2008 for contractualized customers, Bluestar Silicones will the prices of all its silicones products worldwide by between 5 and 9 percent. Specific price increases will be set up by product lines. 

Bluestar Silicones reports to have been absorbing, over the past three years, most of the continuous increases due to structural rising costs of energy, raw materials (including platinum which is at a record high), packaging and transportation.
