Bluestar Silicones will group all its Italian compounding activities at its site at Caronno Pertusella for operational start-up in January 2010.

The company has, over recent years, developed a hot curable compounding elastomers network in Europe called Mix & Fix centers. A key element of this system is Bluestar Siliconi Italia, the Italian subsidiary of the group which currently has two sites.

Bluestar Silicones will move all its activities on its Italian site at Caronno Pertusella for operational start-up in January 2010. The Treviolo site, which is around 60km from the Caronno Pertusella site, will therefore be closed.

Treviolo employees will be offered transfers to the Caronno Pertusella site and staff accompaniment measures will be negotiated with the appropriate staff representative organizations.
