Martin Automatic, manufacturer of automated roll unwinding and rewinding technology, has secured an order for two splicers and two rewinders from Chinese label printer Suzhou Jantan Packaging and Printing Co.

Jantan has decided to automate its production and chose Martin Automatic technology to accomplish the program. The Martin Automatic splicers and rewinders will be installed in Jantan’s factory in Suzhou, China, which was recently built at a cost of 30 million RMB and is situated on a 16 hectare (40 acre) site.

David Ho, Martin Automatic’s general manager for the Asia Pacific territory, commented: ‘Jantan’s prime concern is quality, so in looking to upgrade its efficiency it chose Martin Automatic’s reputation for productive technology to help it open the doors of opportunity.’

Martin Automatic will be exhibiting an MBS splicer (pictured) and rewinder at Labelexpo Asia, December 1–4 2009, on stand C33.
