Kingfisher adds further BGM unit

Bristol-based label manufacturer Kingfisher Labels has invested in its fourth Bar Graphic Machinery (BGM) system, a high-speed Elite 370 DI die cut inspection slitter rewinder.

Kingfisher needed to invest in further equipment as a result of increasing sales, and said the positive experience it has had with existing systems from BGM gave it confidence to go with it again.

Martin Jackson, managing director, of Kingfisher Labels, said: ‘Investment in new capital equipment is still a hard decision but due to our increasing sales it was imperative that we purchased additional machinery.

‘When the decision was finally made to purchase another die-cutting inspection slitter rewinder, it was without doubt a very easy one to make.

‘Over a five-year period we have invested and purchased three other machines from BGM, and in that time we have experienced no mechanical break downs or component failures whatsoever. Reliability has been impeccable and this in itself assured us of the quality and high standards BGM is able to offer.’

Daniel Carr, sales manager of BGM, said: ‘We are delighted that Kingfisher Labels’ future growth and expansion plans involve buying additional equipment from [us]. The high-speed Elite 370 DI is proving to be a true market leader in combining Bar Graphic Machinery’s easy load die station within the conventional layout of our inspection slitter rewinders.

‘This enables the footprint to be extremely compact, which in itself is an added bonus. In addition to this, the machine’s electrical requirement is single phase 13 amp, enabling relocation of the machine if required to be very simple as no hard wiring is required and there is no need for an electrician.’
