Korean and German companies launch joint venture

Sungan Machinery of Korea and German company Pagendarm has launched a joint venture, SAM Pagendarm, in Hamburg, Germany.  

The German Korean joint venture will supply coating and extrusion coating equipment and gravure and flexo printing machines for the flexible packaging market.  

Sungan Machinery, located in Hwasung City near Seoul, was founded in 1960 by M.C. Shin, and has been run since 1977 by his sons D.H. Shin and D.S. Shin. Pagendarm Technologie is owned by Ralph Pagendarm, Peter Belkowitz and Manfred Föhlisch.  

SAM Pagendarm will also be Sungan Machinery’s service center for machines supplied to Europe and South America.
