Pamarco Global Graphics improves international logistics

Posted in Latest News on July 08, 2009

Pamarco Global Graphics and Totalogistix have completed a project that will help them expedite the flow of shipping rates, routes and information into and through Pamarco’s enterprise resource planning system, or ERP. The integration allows tight coordination of Pamarco’s orders with Totalaccess, the Totalogistix transportation management system.

‘This will significantly cut down on the manual exchange of information between Pamarco and Totalogistix,’ said John Mead, director of national accounts for Totalogistix. ‘The system generates additional benefits for both companies. Now, we have order-level detail for each shipment, making it easy to cross-reference and validate shipping charges. The real bottom line is improved customer service and support for both our companies.’ The data flows seamlessly through Pamarco’s ERP, from sales to production, on to billing and accounting.

Global in scope, the project was coordinated for Totalogistix by Kris Pazhayanoor, IT manager, based in New Jersey, and for Pamarco by Glyn Wilson, CIO, Pamarco Technologies, based in Manchester, UK. Pazhayanoor lauded Wilson for his ‘amazing ability to flatten the steep learning curve’ inherent in the first outside integration with a new ERP.

‘My experience with the Totalogistix team was first class,’ said Glyn Wilson. ‘Working with Kris in the US and Ninoo in India we covered three continents on this truly international project on which all parties approached with great enthusiasm. In doing this we are saving around one minute per invoice. Once we roll out to all companies in our group this will mean big time savings and greater accuracy on our sales invoicing.’
