Prati reports it sold 18 machines during Labelexpo Europe 2009, while ‘generating a large number of leads following huge interest from delegates’.

The Italian company’s sales manager Chiara Prati said that Labelexpo exceeded expectations and called it ‘the perfect event for us to meet up with our customers and partners from all over the world’.

On its booth, Prati demonstrated its VegaPlus 450 and 530 converting machines and the VegaPlus LF330 Booklet for offline production of booklet labels. The VegaPlus is a modular system that can be equipped with an unwind, automatic register die-cutting station for pre-printed labels, an inspection unit, a rewind, printing heads and additional finishing devices.

The company also previewed the PH330 PharmaCheck, a modular control system which comes with video controlled cutting features and label inspection capacity. The machine is expected to be launched in the second half of 2010.

Among the sales during the show, Italy-based Grafiche Pagani purchased a Saturn TE330 inspection machine; Saudi Arabian Saudi Printing & Packaging Company opted for the TE400 version; and Spanish printer Graficas Varias invested in a Jupiter TC450 inspection machine.
