Wacker Chemical Corporation announces price increase

Posted in Latest News on December 05, 2005

Wacker Chemical Corporation will raise its prices for Wacker Silicones products in 2006.

Price increases will range from 5 per cent to 10 per cent for all products. The new pricing is due to escalating raw material prices, and rising energy and transportation costs. Affected products include fluids, heat cured and liquid rubber, emulsions, resins, formulated products and HDK pyrogenic silica.

Wacker Chemical Corporation says that the collective effect of rising operating costs precipitated by the dramatic upturn in energy, transportation and increasing feed stock prices could not be entirely offset by ongoing productivity improvements and cost optimization measures. While this price adjustment is necessary to recover these costs, Wacker also says that it is taking this action to ensure customers continue to receive the highest level of customized service, innovative products, value and technical support available.
