Alufoil Trophy 2015 deadline extended

EAFA is an international body representing companies engaged in the rolling and rewinding of aluminum foil and in the manufacture of aluminium closures, aluminum foil semi-rigid containers and of all kind of flexible packaging. It has more than 100 members include companies in western, central and eastern Europe.

EAFA made an initial call for entries for the Alufoil Trophy 2015 awards program in late August, with a deadline of November 21.

The Alufoil Trophy recognizes and rewards the use of aluminum foil and aluminum closures, from rolls in the kitchen, sophisticated laminates or as insulation, for use in packaging, construction and automotive products, as well as in many other industrial and decorative applications.

Competition categories cover marketing and design, consumer convenience, resource efficiency, product preservation and technical innovation.

Many different practitioners in aluminum foil and closures may enter, including packaging designers, brand owners, foil rollers, foil converters, foil container manufacturers, closure manufacturers, household foil manufacturers and retailers. Combined entries from any of these parties are also welcomed. Interested consumers and consumer groups or associations may also enter.

Constantia Flexibles received awards for two of its newest foil-based packaging products in the Alufoil Trophy 2014 awards.
