Americk Packaging shows commitment to the pet care industry

Having attended last year's PATS event in Telford, UK, Americk Packaging will be the only specialist packaging supplier to attend the Sandown event in 2017, offering a complete range of packaging options for flexibles, labels and cartonboard packaging.

Neil Riley, sales director at Americk Packaging, commented: ‘This is our second PATS and we intend to provide delegates with valuable advice as to the options, benefits and performance of a variety of packaging solutions.

‘Our expertise in printing and supplying reel-fed film for use in large volume automated vertical and horizontal packaging lines is proving invaluable to pet food manufacturers. Our award-winning print facilities can achieve stand-out designs and finishes by utilizing our knowledge of print, color management and substrates. We also see on-site support as an essential service to getting the most out of our customers’ application processes in the long term.’

Americk Packaging will also be sharing an insight into its Packaging Innovation Centre, due to open at the company’s Wigan site in the first quarter of the year. A purpose-built group facility, the innovation center will provide manufacturers, retailers and brand owners the opportunity to develop packaging concepts through to design and finished samples in a range of substrates. The Packaging Innovation Centre will offer an opportunity for customers to tap into expert knowledge around substrates, inks and finishes, sector insight and packaging performance.

‘We always aim to achieve on shelf impact using “on trend” finishes such as tactile/soft touch lacquer finishes to give our customers maximum returns on shelf space they command in store,’ continued Riley. ‘In these uncertain times of pre-Brexit, our UK based flexible packaging sites, vendor management inventory and stock holding is a real advantage to our UK customers. Our facilities offer capacity and award winning expertise. Given our scale we can provide real flexibility and spend time with our customers to not only print but design packaging solutions from scratch.’

Taking place at Sandown Park on March 21-22, PATS offers retailers the opportunity to do business with the whole pet trade under one roof. Alongside Americk Packaging, exhibitors will cover all corners of the pet industry, and are to include Mars Petcare, Royal Canin, Lily’s Kitchen and Schur Star Systems.
