The establishment of Armor India is part of a wider growth strategy from the French firm to grow its presence and market penetration around the world. Read more about this strategy and the recent Armor Technical Club meeting in Labels & Labeling, issue 4, 2014.

At Labelexpo India to be held from October 29 to November 1, Armor will showcase APX FH+, a new wax/resin ribbon dedicated to flat head printers as those of Zebra, Datamax, Sato, Intermec, etc. The research and development wing of Armor worked on the ink formulation, resulting in an improved ribbon with a higher performance, offering opportunities for differentiation.

Armor claims that the new APX FH+ ribbon offers a level of performance close to that of certain resin-based products while retaining the flexibility and high-speed print capacity of a wax-resin product. It also provides high print quality, high friction and scratch resistance, and the sharpness of the print quality.

Other benefits include enhanced ink sensitivity offering greater barcode printing sharpness, improved compatibility with paper-based vellum materials and improved print quality at high speed.

The new product is expected to meet the demands of numerous market sectors such as distribution, logistics, warehousing, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, automotive, food industry, etc.
