Armor opens Mexico facility for thermal transfer ribbon distribution

France-based thermal transfer ribbon specialist Armor has opened a slitting and distribution facility in Queretaro, Mexico. The site, which was inaugurated on February 24 with 41 people from 23 different companies in attendance, will ‘support the growth of the Mexican market by improving services dedicated to Armor partners’, said the company.

The move is part of the Armor’s global expansion plans

Guests were welcomed by Hubert de Boisredon, CEO of the Armor Group, and other ARMOR executives and sales representatives. Through a series of presentations and product-based games, attendees were given an insight into Armor’s product range, as well as an overview of the services available to support their businesses.

Mexican customers can rely on two dedicated staff: Sonia Vargas for Mexico City (Distrito Federal) and Raul Watanave for the rest of the country.

The move is part of the Armor’s global expansion plans. The company’s Indian subsidiary, registered as Armor India Coding and Imaging Supplies, was formally established in May 2014, with Armor Africa following shortly after. These were its fifth and sixth slitting subsidiaries worldwide, joining facilities in Singapore, China, Brazil and the US. Armor Mexico is the latest addition.

All seven are served from France with coated jumbo reels.
