Comexi plans growth in South America

Comexi closed 2017 with record sales in Brazil, ending its 15th year in the country on a high note and laying the groundwork for future growth in the region.

The Comexi F2 MC press was launched in Brazil in 2016

Since starting operations in 2002 in the city of Montenegro, Comexi has strengthened its presence in the Brazilian market, producing more than 270 machines over this period. In Brazil, Comexi equipment is designed and produced for the local market and also for export depending on the group's industrial needs. In addition to engineering and production, the company also has a team administrative, sales, technical service and supply chain in Brazil.

Comexi has reported record sales in 2017, claiming a market share of more than 80 percent. A driver of this has been adoption of the Comexi F2 MC press, launched in the country in 2016.

In order to strengthen its position in Brazil and South America, Comexi plans to launch a number of new presses in the region by 2020, including the F2 MB and F4.

Marc Boadas, general director of Comexi do Brasil, said: ‘These first 15 years are only the beginning of a very successful story supporting the packaging value chain flexible.

‘The numbers of the Brazilian economy of the last months confirm that after the crisis the recovery is real and sustainable.’
