Cosmo Films expands in the American market

Cosmo Films has invested one million USD in capacity expansion and a facility upgrade at its Western Maryland Parkway site in Hagerstown, Maryland, where it manufactures thermal lamination films in BOPP, PET and nylon.

Popular products produced by Cosmo Films in the US include scuff-free matte, linen and hi-tac for digital application and velvet films. 
 
Cosmo Films is strengthening production of velvet film which is extensively used for lamination in the publishing industry and luxury packaging. A premium polyester film matched to reduce curl when laminated has also been introduced especially for the plastic loyalty card, ID and postcard markets. 
 
In the future, the company plans to start exporting this product and several others from the US manufacturing facility. It also plans to sell part of its global range of products in the North American market, such as direct thermal film, synthetic paper, PSA application films and several other packaging films.
