Daetwyler executive takes retirement trip to South Africa

Daetwyler executive Robert Albrecht has marked his retirement from the company with a trip to South Africa, where we was a popular figure among local printers owing to his regular trips to the country from Switzerland.

Part of Robert Albrecht's recent retirement trip to South Africa was a visit to Pilanesberg Game Reserve, along with Daetwyler South Africa managing director Werner Hämmig

In 2013, Albrecht took on fresh sales territories for Daetwyler Graphics, and handed responsibility for African markets to Christian Karg. At that time, he visited South Africa to bid farewell to his many South African friends and to introduce Karg to the Paarl-based team, headed by Daetwyler South Africa managing director Werner Hämmig. Hämmig has been running the South African subsidiary for almost 30 years, with the company holding a major share of the available market for gravure cylinder processing equipment and also of the doctor blade market in South Africa.

To mark his official retirement from Daetwyler, Robert returned to South Africa with a visit that incorporated a weekend at Pilanesberg Game Reserve and culminated in a number of social events in Paarl, where he took his final leave of industry friends and colleagues.
