Barry Few, a long-serving Domino employee with more than 30 years’ service cut the ribbon at an opening ceremony on Tuesday 25th February 2014. The demonstration facility includes the a K600i monochrome VDP unit, the Bitjet+ v4.5 and Domino’s latest digital 5-colour ink jet label press, the N610i, which was launched at Labelexpo 2013.

‘As digital ink jet technology continues to make headway on more traditional printing methods – with customer demand from the label and packaging markets for such technology intensifying – it was a natural step for us to expand our digital printing facilities to accommodate this growth’, explains Philip Easton, digital systems director. ‘This demonstration centre, with its training, development and testing facilities, will enable us to showcase our latest technologies to existing and prospective customers, continue our investment in R&D and deliver even better training to our support and service teams. It’s an exciting chapter in the Domino story.’
