DPST and Graph-Tech USA merge

Digital Printing Solutions Technologies and Graph-Tech USA have merged, combining 35 years of digital experience.

Joining forces in a new 12,000 square foot facility in Fort Pierce, Florida, DPST will continue as a division of Graph-Tech USA.

Roger Potvin, founder of both DPST and Card Systems & Ink Solutions, said: ‘This gives both DPST and GT-USA the opportunity to enhance our product both on the ink side of the business as well as in application and equipment technology while improving service and response for our current customers as well as those entering the market. Many new entries to variable information printing need just the kind of support and training we provide as a regular part of our relationships.’

GT-USA has decades of experience in inkjet systems and controllers, technical service, repairs and custom systems consulting. ‘The synergies of the combined companies will greatly expand our ability to integrate cutting-edge technology into standard as well as customized systems,’ added Markus Portmann, founder of Graph-Tech.

DPST and GT-USA have been working closely for some time, so the transition is likely to be ‘a smooth and quick one’, say the companies.

Ownership of the joint venture will be shared by Marcus Portmann, Mike Mitchell, Roger Potvin and Anne Marie Marx. The new center for this combined digital technology center will offer complete demonstration systems, inkjet repair clean room services, operator training, and ink development and research.
