Durst has signed distribution and service partnership for its Tau 330 digital UV inkjet press in India, Sri Lanka, Argentina and Poland.

Launched in 2013, Durst has installed more than 50 Tau 330 presses around the world

Printronics, based in Chennai, has been appointed as an agent for India and Sri Lanka, while Pablo Guillén Machinery (PGM) in Buenos Aires has agreed a distribution and service partnership for Argentina. An exclusive partnership has also been signed in Poland with LFP Industrial Solutions.

Printronics, with combined experience of 60 years in pre-press, signage and flexo printing, has a well-trained team of sales and service engineers for the needs of the label producers in the region. Ravi Shankar, Printronics managing director, said: ‘We signed an agreement with Durst in 2014 and are confident of selling two to three machines in a year.’

Printronics is also looking to get into partnership with manufacturers of plate mounting devices and anilox rollers.

PGM represents several international manufacturers in Argentina and is a service provider for paper, graphic arts and packaging industries.

LFP Industrial Solutions is already the authorized distributor for the Durst large format printers. Marcin Wojcik, co-founder and managing director of LFP Industrial Solutions, sees the Durst Tau label printer series as a good opportunity in a market dominated by HP Indigo. ‘In 2015-16, it is expected that the label market in Poland will grow more than 12 percent due to short-run requirements and new application areas provided by systems like the Tau 330.’

The Durst label printing segment offers the Tau series which includes the Tau 330 digital UV inkjet label printer and Tau LFS 330 digital in-line laser finishing system. Launched in 2013, Durst has installed more than 50 Tau 330 presses around the world.
