Esko and APR to host ECG event

All Printing Resources (APR) and Esko are to jointly present an industry seminar on June 3 focused on the continued developments in expanded color gamut (ECG) flexographic printing.

Seminar and Open House to cover expanded color gamut flexo printing

The seminar, being held at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, is intended for printing professionals that are interested in expanded color gamut printing and want to understand the steps, processes, tools and software necessary for successful ECG implementation. The seminar targets topics from design to pre-press image conversions to pressroom ink selection and characterization.

Presenters will include Esko ‘s Mark Samworth and Larry Moore, and Catherine Haynes of APR, and some of the planned seminar sessions are to include understanding LAB and LCH, printing to a specification, ink selection and press characterization for ECG, HD flexo and flat-top dots and stability of seven-color process.

On June 4, APR is hosting an Open House at its nearby Glendale Heights location, and where its demonstration laboratory will be open and running.

Equipment to be shown includes an Esko CDI Spark 2530 and CDI Spark 4835, SysTec Demounter, APR Anilox Roll Cleaner 1800, X-Rite eXact, Flint Group nyloflex NExT Exposure F III, Techkon SpectroDens and more.

Presentations will cover additional topics such as platemaking, mounting, doctor blades, color matching and UV LED.
