Flint and Accraply to co-host AWA heat shrink sleeve label workshops

AWA Alexander Watson Associates is organizing two Introduction to Heat Shrink Sleeve Label Technologies workshops towards the end of July in Plymouth, Minnesota, with Flint Group and Accraply to act as co-hosts and provide demonstrations of the key elements of the production and application of heat shrink sleeves.

The two two-day workshops are to be co-hosted by Flint Group and Accraply

The interactive Introduction to Heat Shrink Sleeve Label Technologies workshops take place on July 21-22 and July 23-24. Day one will take place at the Flint Group facility, with a Mark Andy press to show real-time printing of shrink sleeve labels as well as common issues complemented with comments and insights of printing experts. Day one will also feature a laboratory tour with discussions on typical test methods for sleeve labels. In conjunction, Esko will provide training on artwork origination software and pre-press.

Day two will take place at the Accraply facility and include theoretical presentations, as well as live hands-on tutorials on the slitting, seaming, inspection, application and shrinking of heat shrink sleeve labels.

The July 23-24 workshop will be available in simultaneous Spanish translation.

AWA will also provide an up-to-date overview of the global sleeve label market.

The workshops complement the recent AWA International Sleeve Label Conference & Exhibition in Miami, and will be followed by the AWA Sleeving Technology seminar on September 28 in Brussels, Belgium, the day before the opening of Labelexpo Europe 2015.
