Gallus launches new press prototype at Open Day
A prototype of a new generation modular flexo press will be unveiled by Gallus at an Innovation Days event at its St Gallen, Switzerland HQ on September 20-22.
The new press series will feature what Gallus calls ‘an innovative new construction which in future could be configured to a customer’s requirement in terms of the level of automation or the web width.’
The first press in the series will be 440mm wide with a maximum speed of 200m/min and the first deliveries are scheduled for the second quarter of 2017.
Machines being demonstrated during the Innovation Days event include the Gallus Labelfire 340 and Heidelberg Omnifire 250 digital models, the Gallus ECS 340 equipped with GEW’s Rhino LED UV drying and the Gallus RCS 430 featuring Metallic Doming - a Gallus combination printing process based on rotary screen printing.
Gallus partners represented at the Innovation Days include Martin Automatic, Rotometrics, Flint Group, GEW, Gietz, Polymount, Siegwerk and various substrate suppliers.
