The software company has a quarter of a century of experience serving the commercial print, newspaper and wide format markets, with a decade of that supplying digital press vendors and OEMs with production technology.

This has resulted in the company developing Harlequin Digital Hub, designed to drive inkjet presses and provide tools to enable consistent, predictable output. These systems are sold directly to OEMs and press vendors to be integrated into the press setup.

Harlequin Digital Hub features a number of tools for developing digital front ends including Harlequin ColorPro and Harlequin SetGold for color management, Harlequin Dispersed Screening and Precision Screening, Harlequin TrapPro and Harlequin VariData.

The Harlequin Digital Hub is fully customizable depending on the needs of each scenario, and is being introduced for the first time to the label market at Labelexpo Europe 2013.

'Digital changes everything,' said Martin Bailey, chief technology officer at Global Graphics. 'Every step of the production process requires new ways of working, from color management and screening, to workflow and sales.

'We want to use our experience to help the label and packaging markets meet these challenges, and to enable press vendors to supply equipment that makes printers and converters more efficient and more profitable.'

Bailey added: 'We are looking to educate this market on our technology, but we are also looking to find out more for ourselves about the market as we are as new to it as potential partners are to our software.'
