Glunz & Jensen opens flexo center in Pennsylvania

Glunz & Jensen has opened a flexo center for the Americas market in Pennsylvania to provide demonstrations of its latest platemaking equipment, plus support and product training for customers.

In November Glunz & Jensen opened its first flexo center in Italy. The second facility, in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, contains a fully equipped demo center featuring the latest platemaking equipment for narrow and wide web applications, including exposure units, processing/washout systems, dryers and light finishers, plate thickness measuring tables and plate mounting systems. The facility will be further expanded to incorporate a demonstration and training center for Glunz & Jensen´s offset platemaking products.

Keld Thorsen, Glunz & Jensen CEO, said: ‘We are ready to support the American flexo industry with a center for innovation, support and customer training. Our newest center will enable the American customers to explore our integrated systems and automated solutions.

Two of Glunz & Jensen’s latest products are the Flex‐in‐One compact all‐in‐one unit for water wash flexo plates, and the FlexScanner which scans sleeves and adaptors for low/high areas, enabling trade shops and packaging printers to take full control of product quality, before going to press.
