Grafisk Kvik Service enters the US market for after-sales service and support

Danish pre-press service provider Grafisk Kvik Service (GKS) has moved into the US with an after-sales service and support function base out of Quakertown, Pennsylvania.

GKS’ expansion into the US is part of a plan to expand the business' coverage to include Western and Eastern Europe, and North America

GKS is a Glunz & Jensen company was founded in 1990 by Klaus Olsen and today it is the largest pre-press service provider in Scandinavia and the UK with a high degree of equipment specialization within offset and flexo pre-press, processing, CtP and iCtP.

GKS is now building up a team of more than 40 qualified field engineers/technicians and a base of third party contractors to cover all geographic areas in the US, with all currently undergoing extensive training in both offset and flexo products. The training will be carried out during the coming months in the GKS Quakertown facilities or at customer sites.

Over the years, GKS has built strong relationships in Scandinavia offering first class services to suppliers such as Agfa‐Gevaert, Fujifilm, Heidelberg and Kodak.

Services that GKS can offer include: installation and set-up of new equipment; maintenance and/or service contracts; emergency on‐site support; general trouble shooting; hotline support; supplies of original spare parts; and service to all major equipment brands and on non‐Glunz & Jensen manufactured equipment.

The Quakertown site focuses on optimized service and spare part handling along with a training and demo center. GKS is to host an Open House event for all American customers to introduce them to the brand new facilities in Quakertown.
