Herma updates self-adhesive material ordering options

Herma is introducing two electronic ordering options, a new online store and an EDI connection, for self-adhesive materials to offer secure and efficient ordering.

The new EDI and online store are designed to make ordering easier and more secure for customers

The online store, at shop.herma-material.com, offers multiple benefits to registered customers compared to orders via telephone or fax, claimed Herma, such as storing product and order details for recurring orders, and ordering assistance by visualizing the effective width and the off-cut of materials that are not part of the net width range. The reel diameter is also visualized, which enables customers to better utilize the maximum reel diameter that is possible on their machines. Further, a special information portal contains customer-specific data and analyses, such as sales statistics and downloadable data sheets and certificates.

The EDI connection enables integration into customers’ ERP systems, so allowing direct communication with the Herma ordering system. This means even more security and ease of use for customers, who can process all orders in their accustomed software environment.

Both products will be launched for German and international customers at Labelexpo Europe 2015, taking place September 29 to October 2 in Brussels, Belgium.

Ralf Drache, head of sales at Herma, said: ‘They are not at all meant to replace contact via telephone, fax or email, or through personal contacts. However, many customers have shown great interest in further optimizing their ordering processes, especially regarding standard orders.’
