IIJ to present as part of inkjet showcase

Industrial Inkjet Ltd (IIJ) is to present a Tech Talk at the Information Management Institute (IMI) Ink Jet 2014 Technology Showcase event in Charlotte, North Carolina on September 3-5, where founder John Corrall will discuss new applications and markets.

IIJ founder John Corrall will discuss new applications and markets at the IMI event

The IMI Ink Jet 2014 Technology Showcase is designed to enable current and potential inkjet printing system developers, integrators and users to obtain detailed technical information and establish professional working relationships with base inkjet printing technology providers, covering printheads, inks, media, curing systems, chemicals and materials, system integrators and instrumentation.

Corrall will present a 45-minute talk entitled ‘Implementing Inkjet in an Industrial Environment: Overcoming Challenges In this Growing Market’, which will provide basic technical guidelines and pose the question, ‘why digital?’ Limitations of the technology, applications examples and the future path for inkjet technology will also be part of the discussion.

Joining Corrall for the TechTalk will be a representative from Konica Minolta. IIJ is the official sales and technical support centre for Konica Minolta products outside of Asia, offering advice on any aspect of the use of inkjet technology in industrial applications.

Other presentations across the event will be delivered by representatives of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Wake Forest Institute of Regenerative Medicine and I.T. Strategies. A host of technology suppliers will give presentations also, including Integration Technology, Fujifilm Imaging Colorants, Wikoff Color and Sii Printek.

On September 5, 2014, a series of Emerging Technologies Academy Short Courses will offer multiple one-day courses covering various aspects of inkjet technology and the sub-systems required for the successful integration of the inkjet engine with the fluid handling, substrate manipulation, software and other specialized system components.

Corrall said: ‘We’re delighted to be part of this showcase and supporting program, particularly as increasing numbers of people are demanding practical insights that will be useful in considering the use of inkjet technology printing in an industrial environment. It’s a market experiencing significant growth and we’re proud at IIJ to be at the forefront of developments.’

The Inkjet Trail is debuting at Labelexpo Americas 2014, which takes place September 9-11 in Rosemont, Illinois. Find out more information here.
