IIMAK acquires Talon

International Imaging Materials (IIMAK) has acquired Talon Industries as part of a move to bolster its strategic growth initiatives.

IIMAK and Talon Industries are said to share a strong customer-centric culture

IIMAK, a manufacturer of printing, imaging and marking consumables, said Talon Industries, which specializes in the development, manufacture and supply of continuous inkjet (CIJ) fluids, equipment and maintenance for coding and marking applications, provides it with a ‘robust and proven portfolio of CIJ solutions’, which, according to Scott Surma, IIMAK vice president of new business development, complement its global sales channels and operational competencies for ink development, manufacturing, and distribution.

‘Our organizations share a strong customer-centric culture, and we will continue to invest in strengthening this business to ensure our partners are kept competitive and operating smoothly,’ added Surma.

Carmel Hohmann, Talon Industries’ former owner and CEO, said: ‘I am pleased we were able to reach an agreement with IIMAK, as this provides more resources to invest in product development and moving into new markets to continue growing the business. And I have every confidence that our customers will continue to benefit from the quality products and services they are accustomed to receiving.’

Hohmann, along with other key management personnel from Talon Industries, will be continuing on with IIMAK to ensure a seamless business transition and long-term continuity.
