INX opens Czech manufacturing facility

INX Digital Czech a.s. welcomed more than 100 customers and guests to the grand opening of its new manufacturing facility in Prague on September 8. The 43,000 sq ft (15,000 sqm) building was constructed to support digital customers in Europe, the Middle East and Asia and it is the third new manufacturing complex that INX International Ink has opened in the last 17 months, with two in Europe and one in North America.

The Prague facility incorporates offices, production and warehouse areas, two laboratories for research & development and quality control, and a number of service rooms. It is already producing a number of digital product lines including various solvent and water-based, and UV curing inks.   

‘This new facility is testimony to the growth of our business and the further expansion of our global market share,’ said Paolo Capano, EMEA director of sales for INX Digital Italy, who oversees the European, Middle East and Asian regions. ‘We have invested capital resources to extend our local manufacturing facilities to better serve our customers. Our research & development capabilities, coupled with higher production volumes, will assure customers that we will exceed their expectations while delivering first class products for them.’

Comments Avi Bukai, managing director for INX Digital, ‘Our production lines are outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment for all of our products, including alternative and OEM inks and we now have a greater color universe to work from, in addition to greater production uptime and the reduction of waste. In addition, the increased warehouse space provides us with greater capacity to produce more product for our customer base, and I expect our research & development capabilities will allow us to satisfy more customer requests.’

The grand opening event provided a full program of activities, including a tour of the facility, a spectacular light show and jazz music.  At midday, a ribbon was cut on the stage by a team of INX executives, including the chief technical officer of INX International, Dr Kotaro Morita, who also presented the Czech managing irector Avi Bukai, with a commemorative gift.
