Jupiter Technologies opens office in Dubai

Jupiter Technologies is opening an office in Dubai with a workforce of three people in the sales team, and is looking at further facilities across the Middle East and Africa.

Growing at a rate of 12 percent year-on-year, Jupiter Technologies is expecting to close the current financial year with a turnover of Rs 40 crore.
 
The office in Dubai is expected to be operational by the end of March.
 
Sasi Kumar, general manager at Jupiter Technologies, said: ‘We have a big customer base in Dubai. We want to cater to them more promptly which will be possible with the new office space.’
 
Citing this as a first step, he said that the company, which is headquartered in Bengaluru, India, is looking at opening offices in Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in the next few years. Jupiter Technologies has an office in Sri Lanka too, and Kumar said: ‘We also see Africa as an emerging market and are evaluating participation in various exhibitions to gradually establish our presence.’ 
 
Jupiter Technologies’ manufacturing facility in Bengaluru is spread across an area of 22,000 sq ft and has a workforce of 130 people. Though the pre-press is outsourced, the company houses three flexo presses including one 8-color all UV Multitec Ecoflex for printing labels and shrink sleeves, one 6-color all UV Comco Cadet and one 5-color Jonten. Other equipment includes rotary die-cutting machines and three barcode slitting machines.      
 
Jupiter Technologies mainly produces security labels for the automobile, food and pharmaceutical industries. It provides holograms, security inks, barcode ribbons and offers patented products to its customers. The company also manufactures plastic card consumables and has tied up with ITW for this business in the Middle East, India and Sri Lanka. It is also a full time member with the Authentication Solution Providers Association (ASPA) and International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA).
