KBA completes Iberica takeover
KBA has expanded its position in print finishing after the completion of its takeover of Spain’s Iberica.
The deal, announced earlier this year and detailed here, sees the German printing equipment manufacturer acquire the die-cutter manufacturer from Cerutti, as it seeks to support its press portfolio with an expanded range of equipment for print finishing.
Based in Barcelona, Iberica produces medium and large format flatbed die-cutting machines for board and corrugated packaging. KBA has been active in this market successfully for some time with its presses.
The takeover and integration of Iberica underscores the global KBA Group’s focus on growth markets and greatly improves the Spanish die-cutter manufacturer's growth prospects.
