Print suppliers, including Arconvert, Gallus, Kurz and Toyo-Arets, presented technological innovations in the label industry to brand owners attending the event.

Anuj Bhargava, founder and chief executive officer at Kumar Labels, took the stage to announce its patented single release with two facestocks labelstock (SRTF), which was then officially launched by Beam Suntory India, one of the first adaptors of this technology.

SRTF is a patented labelstock manufactured by Kumar Label’s partner company HassleFree Technologies. This technology sandwiches silicone liner between facestock that can be printed on both sides. Detailed feature can be read here.

On successfully using the SRTF labelstock, Satish Kaul, vice president operations at Beam Suntory India said: ‘We have been associated with Kumar Labels since nine years and have successfully adopted the patented labelstock for Teacher’s whisky brand. It not only saves cost but also is a great environment friendly initiative. SRTF reduces the cost by 20 to 30 percent because the release liner is sandwiched between facestock, so, it gets utilized twice while also reducing the freight cost and storage space.’

Brand owners agreed with the advantages this technology offers and showed keen interest in learning more about it to adapt it for their products.

Kumar Labels is in talks with brand owners to initiate the usage of SRTF labelstock and as Bhargava shared: ‘Several projects are in the pipeline and will be announced as soon as they are commercialized.’
