The limited edition sweets – brandy butter Christmas pudding flavor drops, mince pie flavor drops and after dinner festive sprout mints – feature label designs representative of the quirky new flavors, which are currently being sold only in the UK, prior to being released to the firm’s international customers in time for Christmas 2018. Simpkins exports to over 40 countries throughout the world, producing 80 lines of sweets from its base in Sheffield.

The festive labels, 90mm in diameter, were produced on white gloss paper and 4-color digitally printed on a Xeikon CX3. The Label Makers has also worked on further new lines of Simpkins sweets, including the launch in early 2018 of its ‘Botanical’ candy ranges destined for garden centers and similar outlets.

Adrian Simpkin, the third-generation owner of the family sweet maker, said: ‘We have worked with The Label Makers for over 30 years and are wholly dependent on it for consistent quality, service levels and timed deliveries. These new festive labels look excellent – they are designed to be quirky and different compared to our traditional Christmas flavors, and so far they have delivered.’

Kevin Lyons, sales director at The Label Makers, added: ‘We have a fantastic association with Simpkins, which is professional, honest and committed. As both parties know each other so well, we are largely left to get on with the job of producing their labels – the hallmarks of a trusted relationship.’
