Label Products invests in Xeikon 3300

Belgian printer Label Products has invested a Xeikon 3300 digital press to expand its capabilities and production workflow.

In recent years Label Products has grown to be one of the most important players in its market segment within the Benelux countries. The investment in the 3300 digital press gives Label Products the possibility to extend its position in its market even further, as it focuses on new products for which, up until now, there were hardly any production methods available.

Label Products intends to use the Xeikon 3300 for printing on transparent materials for beverage and food packaging. Further, as the Xeikon 3300 is a roll-to-roll machine, it is possible to output large banners, thereby adding sign products to the portfolio of Label Products and the existing portfolio of its large format subsidiary Ye Print.

Label Products CEO Pieter Dhondt said: ‘The acquisition of the Xeikon 3300 was the logical next step to take the weight off our offset presses and gives us the opportunity to offer new products.’

Following the implementation of the Xeikon 3300 digital press, Label Products will discontinue letterpress production which it was using as an alternative for some offset and flexo products.
