The Australian label industry parent body LATMA (Label and Tag Manufacturers of Australia) marked its recent annual general meeting in Melbourne with the retirement of longstanding president Alan Dabschek and the election of Sydney-based Impresstik Labels managing director Mark Easton as his successor.

Easton stressed to a well-attended annual general meeting that LATMA’s priority in the coming year will be the continuation of discussions with its New Zealand counterpart, ANZFTA, on potential operational synergies and ways in which the two bodies might work together to deliver better value to their respective memberships.

The co-operation concept is underwritten by a proviso that certain and specific functions would remain unique to each.

Further, the coming year’s board is made up of several long serving veterans and some of the industry’s younger members.
