M&A in the digital printing industry under the microscope at forum in Japan

A forum focused on mergers and acquisitions is to take place alongside next month’s Digital Print Japan 2017, and illustrate how such developments are shaping the digital printing industry.

The M&A forum in Japan follows a similar forum at the IMI Europe Digital Print Europe event earlier this year

The forum, on December 6, will focus on market drivers for M&A activity, how the industry has been shaped by M&A activities and how the M&A market within digital printing will change over the next five years.

Marco Boer of IT Strategies will address the fundamental market forces driving M&A in inkjet, before Dr Kenneth Stack of Proximus addresses M&A in industrial digital printing. Stack will also outline the M&A process and offer advice. He has over 20 years of experience within digital printing, having founded digital label printing business Jetrion in 2003. Proximus is a boutique investment banking and venture capital firm that specializes in finding strategic value for companies within the digital printing industry. Since its founding in 2011, Proximus has completed over 600 million USD in M&A deals within the digital printing market.

IMI Europe said the forum is aimed at both potential acquirers and acquirees, or those looking to understand the changes in the digital printing industry today and over the next few years.

It follows a similar forum at the IMI Europe Digital Print Europe event earlier this year.

Digital Print Japan 2017 takes place December 5-6 in Tokyo.
