Michelman claims ‘Deal Maker of the Year’ accolade from ACG

Michelman has claimed a Deal Maker of the Year award from the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) in an awards program hosted by the body’s Cincinnati chapter.

ACG is a global organization with 56 chapters and over 14,000 members. Chapters in the US, Canada, Europe and Asia bring dealmakers together to help them achieve their business and professional goals.

The Deal Maker Awards are an annual event, which this year took place on May 13, and recognize outstanding individuals and companies with proven track records of leadership, innovation and success ‘through the art of the deal’, with each of the winners, in some way, ‘challenging conventional thinking in order to drive growth in their organization and the business community’, ACG said.

Michelman was one of four winners in the Corporate category in the 2015 ACG Deal Maker Awards, alongside AK Steel, Dinsmore & Shohl and Kroger Company.

Michelman was recognized by ACG for its growth initiatives actioned over the past two years, including the opening of the Michelman Advanced Materials Collaboration Center at the company’s Cincinnati, Ohio headquarters in October 2014, the acquisition of Ecronova Polymer in 2013, the establishment a joint venture with Maruyoshi Chemical in Japan in 2013 and the acquisition of Supack International in India earlier this year.
