Vinsak confirms double Lombardi sale

Vinsak, the exclusive distributor of Lombardi in the Indian subcontinent, has sold Lombardi Synchroline 430 presses to Mold-Tek Packaging and K L Hi-Tec, both based in Hyderabad.

Ranesh Bajaj, managing director, Vinsak announced the sale of Lombardi Synchroline 430 to Mold-Tek at Labelexpo Europe

These 8-color fully servo, multi substrate presses are equipped with movable cold foil, chiller, two die-cutting stations, slitter, turnbar, relam, delam, sheeter, conveyor, and special drying and coating unit.

‘The main agenda behind purchasing Synchroline is to lower the prices of in-mold label printing while complying with high standards,’ said Janumahanti Lakshmana Rao, chairman and managing director at Mold-Tek Packaging. The company has been printing high volume jobs on gravure presses for the last six years.

Lakshmana Rao, CMD at the company added: ‘We primarily print in-mold labels for food, FMCG, paint, lubricants and dairy industries. The flexo press will help us print short runs of typically 1000 linear meters with surface printing, cold foiling and other embellishments. This investment will, thus, further strengthen our capabilities of in-mold labels and deliver jobs faster to the customers.’

KL Hi-Tec Secure Print is primarily into security printing and caters to government bodies, universities, telecom companies and banks. For the new press, Srinivasa Rao, chairman at KL Hi-Tech, said: ‘We opted for Synchroline for its quality features and good service support from Vinsak. We have also added inkjet system from Vinsak which will be used to print security applications.’

Ranesh Bajaj, director at Vinsak, said: ‘Mold-Tek Packaging introduced the concept of in-mold packaging in India and is the first company to have completely integrated label printing and mold adaptations to make in-house robots. The press will enable KL Hi-Tec to print on a range of substrates and will facilitate them to diversify into new segments as well.

‘We are keen to bring machines of high quality and have more automated functions backed with our strong support system which can ease the operations of Indian printers.’
