Nilpeter predicts reinforced Australasian market penetration

Nilpeter used the recent PacPrint trade event in Melbourne to reinforce its thrust into the Australian market, coinciding with a stated major focus on its new FA line of flexo presses, which the company is to unveil at Labelexpo Europe 2017.

Nilpeter predicts reinforced Australasian market penetration

Erik Blankenstein, director of sales at Nilpeter Asia Pacific, said the market can expect a platform of 'broad based flexo versatility with an intuitive user interface' with the new FA, and fully mobile print controls with emphasis on Nilpeter’s Clean-Hand design approach.

‘The new FA will allow printers to enhance the performance and capability of their press with value-adding units as well as application and automation packages according to application needs and budget,’ said Blankenstein.

Current Australian and New Zealand installations center on Nilpeter's FA-4 and MO combi (flexo and offset) units including hybrid configurations outputting complex label applications. A recent FA-4 flexo press installation at Adelaide-based award-winning wine label printer, Studio Labels, has been hailed as expanding the South Australian firm's production capabilities by adding in-line flatbed foiling and embossing, and QC-Die value-adding units.

Blankenstein is enthusiastic about the extent of interest being shown throughout the Australasian market in hybrid configurations, pointing to the value-adding difference they bring to the table. As a forthcoming priority, he confirmed the company plans to promote its Panorama DP-3 hybrid range which incorporates Nilpeter's Equios management system. Since its launch two years ago, the Danish press manufacturer has made major enhancements to this digital product line, redesigning its converting and flexo printing units and substantially updating its press software.

That said, Blankensetein said Nilpeter's expansion in Australia and New Zealand with further growth and market support centered on Nilpeter Thailand as the main Australasian regional hub where the company recently established its new Bangkok Technology Centre.
