Renault Paper Products, a Manohar Packaging Group Company, has installed the first Omet X-Flex press in India at its 23,000 square foot facility in Palghar.

Mahendra Shah, director, said: ‘The X-Flex is a uniquely engineered machine which minimizes operator intervention and is easy to operate. The print station that combines the impression cylinder and chill roll is the source of a short web path. It is one reason that the press is able to average 23 meters – and from the 24th meter onwards we achieve a saleable product.’

Paolo Grasso, export manager at Omet, said: ‘Renault is the perfect partner for delivering this state-of-art label press. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership with Mr Shah and his company.’

The sale was handled by Omet’s exclusive agent in India and south east Asia, Weldon Celloplast. Pawandeep Sahni, director of Weldon, said: ‘Mahendrabhai Shah’s vision and foresight is amazing. His decision to opt for X-Flex has given a boost to his indulgence in innovations in label printing and conversion.’
