PGI Technologies reports 'huge success' with new flexo press at Labelexpo India 2016

PGI Technologies, previously known as Precise Graphic India, launched its 3-color flexo press at Labelexpo India 2016, and sold five on the show floor.

One each of this press will be shipped to Chennai, Pune and Delhi and two to Bengaluru. The 13in-wide press with power saver hot air drying system features two die-cutting stations and one turnbar.

Sanjeev Atre, managing director at PGI Technologies, said: ‘We ran the press at 65m/min on the show floor to dry water based inks. This press is a huge success and crossed all my expectations in terms of industry feedback, enquiries and final orders we received. I have four more orders in the pipeline.’

Motivated by the Indian Prime Minister’s Made In India campaign, PGI Technologies has developed a turret rewinder that was showcased for the first time at Labelexpo India 2016 with the company’s rotary die-cutting machine. The company has also tied up with a software company and is developing an indigenous 100 percent defect detection system that he aims to showcase at Labelexpo Europe next year.

A rotary die-cutting machine with turret rewinder has been sold to a label printer in Delhi. ‘This 13-inch wide equipment runs at a maximum speed of 125m/min. We have received many serious enquiries for this machine too,’ said Atre.

A defect detection system will be integrated with the company’s servo slitting machine that was launched at Labelexpo India 2016. Atre describes the machine as 'value for money equipment with a maximum speed of up to 250m/min,' and said: ‘We are on the verge of finalizing two orders of this machine and received a lot of enquiries at the show.’

In addition, Atre sold four plate mounters at Labelexpo India 2016. There were multiple orders and enquiries of print and magnetic cylinders that are the company’s established products.

Of Labelexpo India 2016, Atre said: ‘This was the best show in terms of sales, enquiries and appreciation of our product design and quality. It wasn’t picnic time like at many other shows; Labelexpo India was a very serious trade show.’
