Prati presents scalable machine architecture

Prati presents its new Futura technology to the label industry at Labelexpo Europe 2017, which offers unlimited upgrade possibilities for its finishing equipment.

At Gulf Print & Pack 2017, Futura was shown on a Saturn Omnia multiuse finishing system

Futura, first presented at Gulf Print & Pack 2017, is an open platform technology that allows Prati systems to be upgraded quickly and easily with the integration of additional modules to permit the handling of an extended portfolio of printed products, such as those produced with filmic materials, in-mold labels or shrink sleeves.

This can be done in-situ, meaning it is an easier process to upgrade machines than the previous model of retrofitting, where they would need to be shipped back to Prati.

‘A key part of a smart factory approach, Futura provides maximum support in achieving top-level energy efficiency and relevant savings,’ Prati said in a statement.

Futura is offered as standard on all Prati machines. At Gulf Print & Pack 2017, it was shown on a Saturn Omnia multiuse finishing system.
