Scandinavian label printers invest in Xeikon

Sweden’s Jodi Etiketter and Finland’s Tarratuote have joined the Xeikon digital press user community after investing in its dry toner technology at Labelexpo Europe 2015.

Jodi Etiketter ordered a Xeikon CX3 at Labelexpo Europe 2015

Jodi Etiketter has ordered a CX3 model, which is based on Xeikon’s Cheetah technology, while Tarratuote has chosen a Xeikon 3030Plus system.

Jodi Etiketter is a family run business established in 1980. It specializes in self-adhesive labels and a variety of special labels. The company decided to invest in the Xeikon CX3 with digital finishing, and the press will be equipped with roll-to-roll capabilities as well as in-line converting with a DC330.

Tarratuote, based in Tampere, Finland, ordered a Xeikon 3030Plus system with MiniDcoat post-press line, plus the latest Xeikon X-800 digital front-end workflow. The investment has been made to address the growing need for short run label production, not currently possible with its existing flexo print machines, and growing demand for personalized labels.

‘It is great to see just how label specialists are benefitting from our broadest portfolio of solutions to date,’ said Filip Weymans, director of segment marketing for labels and packaging at Xeikon. ‘It is also indicative of how varied production demands are – from short to long runs – and how operations need to ensure they can meet their customers’ demand cost effectively, efficiently and to a very high quality.’
