Spanish startup uses digital to drive sales

Romantics, a Spanish business that produces fresh daily cold pressed juices, is using HP Indigo digital printing technology to deliver customized packaging for its juices and create brand engagement.

Romantics has more than 100 different label designs added to its products, and sells cold pressed juices at more than 3,000 points of sale in Spain

Founded 10 years ago, Romantics, which pioneered the introduction of cold pressed juices in Spain, looks for creative options that help its juices stand out and sell quickly, given the short shelf life of the products. With no marketing budget, Romantics’ founders have leaned on the product’s packaging to market itself by adding unique labels to bottles. Today, Romantics has more than 100 different label designs added to its products, and sells cold pressed juices at more than 3,000 points of sale in Spain.

An HP Indigo WS6800 digital press allows the Spanish business to use short runs with very short turnaround, ensuring new label designs are added to the products every month. This strategy helps Romantics deliver a unique and personalized experience to the end-user.

Marc Coll, founder and CEO of Romantics, commented: ‘Innovation and differentiation are key factors to survive in this ever-growing sector, and we’ve always looked at new technologies – from the production of the juices to the packaging process – with the idea to deliver a unique experience to our customers.

‘HP Indigo solutions help us deliver high-quality, creative and customized packaging for our juices. Once we discovered what was possible with HP Indigo, we didn’t see a reason to go any other route.’

Examples of Romantics labels and packaging will be on display at Labelexpo Europe 2017 on the HP stand, the Patio between halls 8 and 9.
