Terinex makes strategic acquisition of QC Packaging Films to target printed flexible packaging market growth

The UK’s Terinex has acquired fellow UK firm QC Packaging Films as it seeks to exploit growth in the printed flexible packaging market.

Terinex QC Films is setting out to create a new benchmark in the provision of quality printed film

Terinex supplies a wide range of products to the catering, travel and consumer food industries, while QC Packaging Films specializes in the production of high quality printed film for food and pharmaceutical packaging.

Experts in design, print and application, QC Packaging Films focus on providing high levels of customer service combined with a highly flexible printing capability enabling it to offer short lead times and short print runs where required. The companies’ combined strength, as Terinex QC Films, now offers tailored, high quality printing to customers who demand the best in food and pharmaceutical packaging across a range of different types of film, including PET and BOPP.

Terinex QC Films is setting out to create a new benchmark in the provision of quality printed film through its high level of customer service, flexible production facilities and investment in the latest printing technology. This includes a new 8-color Comexi press and solventless laminator.

‘This acquisition was made on the basis of combining the strength and expertise of QC Packaging Films’ management and staff with the support, investment and backup available from Terinex to exploit the growing flexible printed packaging market,’ said Paul Wightman, group managing director of OGM Holdings.
