Tresu plans folding carton focus at Labelexpo Europe 2015

Specifically designed for in-line integration with the HP Indigo 30000 digital press, Tresu’s iCoat 30000 Twin includes two flexo units capable of applying spot, partial or full surface coating immediately after the printing stage. This sheet-fed print and coating operation offers an effective way of enhancing functionality and aesthetic impact, with multiple combinations of UV curable and water-based coatings, in a single process. Capable of running at a minimum of 5,000sph on board substrates between 180-500gsm, it also features corona treatment, quick-change sleeve technology and the ability to switch from UV to aqueous varnish within a few minutes.

Tresu will also use Labelexpo Europe 2015 to highlights its F10 iCon ink supply system and carbon fiber chamber doctor blade program, which are designed to automate ink pressure and viscosity in flexo printing machines and to optimize the control of ink/coating flow, pressure, viscosity and temperature, respectively.

Henrik Kristensen, Tresu Ancillary vice president, said: ‘As demands grow for shorter production runs, and exacting color standards, the need to optimize the ink circulation will only become more acute. Our ancillary systems answer this need by providing a means of controlling the flow from the bucket to the anilox roll, in virtually all flexo printing situations.’
