The printer was founded in 1958 by Mohamed Boussaa, making it one of Tunisia’s oldest printing firms. Until now Boussaa Emballages was nearly exclusively active in the commercial print sector and only produced a small volume of packaging.  After more than half a century with Boussaa Emballages, Skander and Elyes Boussaa, the children of the company founder, opened a new business unit for the growing packaging market. The new production hall is situated close to Tunis airport.

The company has previously operated B2 presses from other manufacturers, with the KBA Rapida 105 PRO signalling its entry into the medium format market.

Sven Strzelczyk, sales director at KBA-Sheetfed Solutions, said: ‘The investment in a Rapida 105 PRO will make waves at other printing firms in the Maghreb countries. We are pleased to be able to deliver one of the first presses of this new series to Boussaa Emballages.'
