Tyler Packaging furthers European ambitions with multilingual websites

Tyler Packaging has furthered its European reach with the introduction of multilingual websites targeting German, French, Spanish and Russian speaking audiences as it looks to reach a broader range of potential customers across Europe.

The sites have been comprehensively translated from the English language website, as opposed to using an on-site translation tool

The company, a specialist supplier of flexible packaging to a range of industries, has developed French and German language websites, with Russian and Spanish versions shortly to follow. The sites have been comprehensively translated from the English language website, as opposed to using an on-site translation tool, meaning the standard of the language is much higher, with the aim of appealing to key decision makers in positions of influence.

The websites act independently of each other with their own dedicated domain names, .de, .ru, .fr and .es being used as appropriate to the country.

Adam Kay, sales and technical director at Tyler Packaging, said: ‘With the increasingly integrated packaging community within the Eurozone and indeed the wider international community, it’s important for us to be able to reach as many prospective customers as possible. By creating dedicated websites that are properly translated, we hope to appeal to a much broader market and offer a sufficiently high standard of service.

‘Despite current Eurozone fears, we’re experiencing the effects of an ever increasing flexible packaging market that continues to flourish. We receive interest from a diverse international market which means we need to be in a position to communicate to a high standard with a multilingual audience.

‘Poorly translated websites can often be detrimental, so we want to ensure that we’re taking the optimum approach. The multilingual websites are just another example of our growing ambition and intent. The flexible packaging market is expanding at a terrific rate and we aim to emulate that growth through our own endeavours.’

Tyler Packaging has also recently appointed Frederic Dionisi, a fluent English, French and German speaker, as European Sales Manager. The firm is looking to recruit more technical salespersons for Europe as it continues to build its team.

‘Our high level of customer service sees us provide the best experience possible for our clients. Good communication is essential and if we can speak in a customer’s language then it gives us that extra edge,' concluded Kay.
