Tyler Packaging introduces AR

Tyler Packaging has introduced augment reality (AR) technology to its offering, which supplements the physical, real world environment with computer-generated input to streamline the package prototyping process.

AR allows customers to visualise how their finished products will look without the need to develop actual physical samples.

Customers can interact with the virtual prototype, scrutinizing it from all angels via a specifically designed app.

Tyler Packaging’s primary aim in introducing AR is to add a conceptual and proofing tool to its design repertoire.

Adam Kay, sales and technical director at Tyler Packaging, said: ‘AR enables us to take the next step, projecting an interactive virtual model that customers can picture on the shelf, without the need to use any imagination.

‘Augmented reality shows it how it is.’
