Valéron strengthens film extrusion capabilities

Valéron Strength Films has installed a new film extrusion line in order to satisfy the demand for enhanced quality, flexibility and durability from films in the future.

Line commissioned in anticipation of upcoming market needs

Construction on the new line started at the end of 2012, with the new line completed in mid-June this year. Valéron Strength Films started decommissioning its old line in mid-April, with the new line becoming fully operational as of June 20.

Valéron Strength Films system engineer Luc Geven said: ‘We built the line to produce an even higher quality film with significant improvements in accuracy and efficiency improving our ranking of good manufacturing practices and clean production processes.’

Valéron Strength Films' recently-appointed general manager Umesh Mishra added: ‘The strength of Valéron is its capability to innovate today’s performance film segment, starting from a product that Valéron knows and masters better than anyone else: our cross-laminated film.

‘It is our mission to constantly improve its quality in order to create new capabilities. With the cross-laminated film quality of today we are perfectly prepared for new markets, new developments and new challenges.’
